The Upskilling Program / On-the-Job Training Program is one of DigiSkills Association’s programs under the Youth, Technology, and Jobs Project at the Ministry of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship.

The program focuses on preparing participants for careers in advanced cybersecurity domains by strengthening technical expertise and essential professional competencies, bridging the gap between academic outcomes and industry needs. Participants will have the opportunity to be among only 100 selected trainees in this highly competitive program, which follows a training-to-employment model, providing a clear pathway from skills development to career opportunities.

Bridge the Gap Between
Academia & Industry

To ensure continuous alignment with industry requirements, SMT Academy conducts a market needs assessment in collaboration with cybersecurity experts and hiring partners. The findings inform curriculum design and training delivery, with a focus on:

Program Scope

Technical Cybersecurity

This track is designed to cultivate robust technical cybersecurity skills through well-structured learning paths. It introduces trainees to various aspects of the cybersecurity domain, enabling them to:

  • Understand the industry landscape and explore diverse career opportunities.
  • Confidently select a specialization aligned with skills, interests, and market trends.
  • Gain hands-on experience through integrated foundational knowledge and practical application.
  • Make informed career choices and prepare to excel in real-world cybersecurity roles.

Soft Skills Development

Strengthen essential professional skills to complement technical expertise.

Cybersecurity Upskilling Tracks

All participants will start with Cybersecurity Fundamentals to build a strong foundation, and then continue to one of the three specialized cybersecurity tracks:

Cybersecurity Fundamentals

A fundamental understanding that serves as a critical and essential foundation, empowering individuals to actively engage, effectively contribute, and excel in navigating cybersecurity principles, practices, and challenges.

Then you will choose your track

Governance, Risk, and Compliance

Focuses on cybersecurity governance frameworks, risk management strategies, compliance standards, policies, and regulatory requirements.

Offensive Security

Ethical hacking, penetration testing, vulnerability assessment, and attack simulation to proactively identify and exploit system weaknesses.

Defensive Security

Emphasizes threat detection, incident response, security operations, monitoring, and protection of systems and networks.

Eligibility Requirements

Required Documentation & Criteria

  • Applicants must be Jordanian citizens, aged 20 to 35 years.
  • Applicants must hold an official university graduation certificate.
  • Applicants must be currently unemployed, supported by a Social Security unemployment statement.
  • Applicants must not have previously participated in any programs under the Youth, Technology and Jobs Project, nor in any programs offered by the Digital Skills Association (DigiSkills).
  • Applicants must provide a valid Jordanian National ID.
